01. Airport Pet transfers
(from and to El. Venizelos)

We transfer your pet to and from Athens International Airport (Eleftherios Venizelos):

Luggage is free of charge.

Each airline follows different regulations, regarding the pets’ transfers. So, before your pet’s trip, ensure a complete update to avoid delays.

Important info from indicative airlines:

The pet can be transported:

In the cockpit, if the pet’s weight is less than 8 kg (including the cage).

- Only one pet is allowed in the cabin per passenger, which must be placed in a cage.
- No pet is transported in the cabin when there are babies on the trip.
- Reservations for dogs and cats can be made online.
- If more pets are going to travel, they must be of the same breed, familiar to each other and placed in a cage. Kindly reminder, their total weight must not exceed 8 kg.

In the luggage compartment, if the pet weighs more than 8 kg (including the cage).

- Pets can be transported only on Airbus 319, 320 and 321.
- Pets are not allowed in the luggage compartment, if the response time between flights exceeds 3 hours.

02. Port pet transfers
(from and to port)

We transfer your pet to and the ports of Piraeus, Rafina, Lavrio, Agios Konstantinos, Patras and Kyllini.

Each shipping company follows different regulations, regarding the pets’ transfers. So, before your pet’s trip, ensure a complete update to avoid delays.

Important info from indicative shipping companies:

The pet can be transported:

In the cabin of the ship, if it’s pet friendly.
- In specially designed cabins for you and your pet.

On the deck (Pet Kennels), if the pet’s weight is less than 10 kg.
- In specially designed cages, located on the ship’s deck.
On the deck, if the pet’s weight is less than 10 kg.
- Only if the pet is fitted by its owner and has a leash or transport chain. Added to this, the pet must wear a muzzle.

Whatever you choose, remember that your pet is not allowed in or near the ship’s restaurants and bars as well as in public areas. The food and its cleanliness is your responsibility.

The pet can be transported:

In specially designed areas, if the pet is big.
- The pet can’t move from this area until we reach your destination.

With its owner.

- Only if the pet is small. The pet can move in the ship during the journey, only if it has been placed in the special transport basket or it has a leash and muzzle.

03. Pet transfer from and to train or bus station

We transfer your pet to and from train or bus stations:

- With consistency (according to the train or bus schedule)
- With responsibility (ensuring the pet’s needs)

- With understanding (in case of delay, the first half hour is free)
- Safely (meeting the necessary specifications)

Luggage is free of charge.

Railway station

It is important to know that in addition to the owner, a ticket is also issued for the pet whose cost is reduced. Also, inside the wagon (together with its owner) can be accommodated only those pets that are small. All the rest should be placed in a special cage.

If you choose to travel at night, you can definitely ensure that your pet can spend the night in a specially designed wagon, in which all the pets are gathered.

Buses

According to the Citizen’s Guide instructions, we provide you with the following information.

Citizen’s Guide

Pets that are allowed to be transported either by city of by long- distance buses (KTEL) are only those that are small or that are guide dogs for people with disabilities (always wearing leash and muzzle). All pets whose weight does not exceed 10 kg are considered as small.

- City buses:
  - Permitted transport baskets are in dimensions (cm): 50 x 40 x 70.
- Intercity buses (KTEL):
  - Permitted transport baskets are in dimensions (cm): 50 x 40 x 35.

In any case, the transport of the pet can take place if placed in the passenger compartment, under its owner’s supervision. Under no circumstances shall unaccompanied pets be transported or placed in the luggage compartment. Up to 2 pets are allowed on each bus.

The pet health booklet is essential on every intercity bus service.

08. Stray animals’ transfers

According to the LAW 4039/2012 (ΦΕΚ Α-15/02.02.2012), stray is every animal that has not a stable home, is located outside the residence of its owner/ holder/ attendant or his guardian and is not under his control.

We transfer stray animals to their new home, stray animals’ shelter of Athens Municipality or the vet.
